The Dolphins signed Rosenfels on Thursday in the wake of news that opening-day starting QB Chad Henne would miss the remainder of the season after undergoing surgery on a separated left shoulder.
Backup Matt Moore, who took over last Sunday following Henne's injury, will likely remain as the starter when the Dolphins return to action in week 6.
