This news likely won't impact fantasy owners, since Jags QB Blaine Gabbert has passed for just 299 yards in his last three games combined, finding the end zone just twice in that span.

Kolb likely out versus Rams
While the Rams may get their starter back for the game this weekend, the Cards are likely losing theirs.
Kevin Kolb is still in a walking boot, suffering from turf toe, and is likely to miss his team's week 9 game against St. Louis.
If Kolb can't play, the Cardinals would rely on John Skelton at quarterback. In related news, the Rams could potentially be staring at their first back-to-back wins this season.

No decision yet on McGahee's status
Willis McGahee, recovering from surgery to repair a broken hand, was a participant in the Broncos' practice on Thursday.
Coach John Fox, though, said that McGahee wouldn't play unless his hand is 100 percent. Friday's practice should clue in fantasy owners about what to expect from McGahee this weekend.

Felix Jones still not quite ready
Jones missed practice again Thursday, and it looks like he'll require a little more rest before he's able to return.
DeMarco Murray would again get the lion's share of the carries. He faces a tough run defense this week against Seattle.

Andre Johnson still not practicing
Star wideout Andre Johnson missed his second practice of the week on Thursday.
The Texans are still calling Johnson day-to-day as he recovers from a small hamstring tear. Johnson has missed Houston's last four games. His practice status Friday will go a long way toward determining whether he plays against Cleveland this weekend.

Sam Bradford optimistic about playing Sunday
Sam Bradford's prospects for Sunday's game against Arizona were looking up after his sprained ankle felt better on Thursday.
Bradford hopes to practice on Friday. Though Bradford has underachieved this year, with only three touchdown passes in five starts, the Cardinals feature one of the league's worst secondaries.

Hillis to play Sunday
Browns RB Peyton Hillis was a limited participant in practice on Thursday, and said he expects to play this weekend.
Montario Hardesty is a long shot to play, so Hillis would likely share carries with Chris Ogbonnaya.

Bradshaw's injury up in the air
After earlier reports suggested Ahmad Bradshaw would be out indefinitely with a broken foot, Adam Schefter relayed inside information that the injury may not be as serious as initially thought.
There's even a possibility that Bradshaw could play Sunday. Bradshaw and Brandon Jacobs owners need to keep a close eye on this situation over the next two days.

Peyton Hillis still not practicing, Montario Hardesty officially out
Unless the Madden curse reverses itself quickly, Chris Ogbonnaya will be getting all the carries on Sunday. The only other option for the Browns is Thomas Clayton, who the team signed after holding a tryout yesterday. Clayton's career stats are 7 carries for 17 yards with a long of 5 yards.

T.J. Houshmandzadeh signed by the Raiders
Carson Palmer will once again be throwing to his old teammate. While Darrius Heyward-Bey has played well, no WR in particular has stepped up for the Raiders and T.J. has a chance to be a fantasy starter depending match-ups and how fast he learns the offense.
Peyton Manning not going on IR
Looks like there is still a chance that the future Hall of Famer will play this year. For those of you doing well and your league and happen to have a roster spot available, Peyton might be worth holding on to for the chance that he's available in the fantasy playoffs.

Felix Jones could return against Seahawks
Jones's status is officially day-to-day right now. DeMarco Murray has been extremely impressive in Jones's absence, and it would be a surprise if he took a back seat to Jones at this point.
That said, it bears listening to Dallas coach Jason Garrett for any clues this week as to how the workload will shake out. Seattle has proved a tough test for opposing rushers so far this season.

Mike Tolbert could play major week 9 role
Mike Tolbert's return is looking good for week 9 against Green Bay. Reports from San Diego are that, barring any setbacks in concussion tests this week, Tolbert is likely to play.
With Ryan Mathews up in the air for Sunday after suffering a groin injury against Kansas City, Tolbert could be a major factor.

Blount to return this week
Bucs coach Raheem Morris says LeGarrette Blount will return for Tampa Bay this week.
That's a big boost for the Bucs, who also lost backup Earnest Graham for the season. Blount returns against New Orleans' very weak run defense, so it's a tasty match-up for fantasy purposes.

Nicks not too nicked up
Good news for Hakeem Nicks owners: an MRI revealed that a hamstring strain aggravated by the wideout on Sunday isn't serious.
Nicks is day-to-day, but at this point it would be a surprise if he didn't play in week 9. Nicks has a juicy match-up against the Patriots' league-worst pass defense.
