Lions trade for Ronnie Brown

The Lions have traded Jerome Harrison and an undisclosed 2013 draft pick for Philadelphia Eagles backup running back Ronnie Brown.

Lions coach Jim Schwartz earlier today refused to rule out Jahvid Best for next Sunday's game, but this moves suggests legitimate concern. Best suffered his second concussion of the year against the 49ers.

The move further muddles the running back situation in Detroit. If Best can't play, Brown, Maurice Morris, and possibly Keiland Williams will be in the mix to pick up extra playing time.

Harrison was effective as a backup last year for the Eagles, but will again see limited time behind stud starter LeSean McCoy.
